Litter

Litter from high street litter bins is sent to Greatmoor Energy from Waste (read more about the facility here). Some high streets also have separate recycling bins, the contents of which will get sent to the relevant recycling plant. However if a non-recyclable item is placed in a high street litter bin the contents will be treated as general waste. 

We would always encourage you to take your waste home with you when you are out and about. It's much easier to recycle more when you are at home.
