Engine Oil

Engine oil is collected at all nine household recycling centres in Buckinghamshire. Once the separate containers are full a collection wagon visits and empties the oil into a large tank. It is then transported to a facility in Ipswich. The used oil we collect is reprocessed into a base oil product. This product is then used in the production of new carbon efficient lubricating oils, emitting 30% less CO2 than alternative lubricating oils produced from crude oil.

Did you know the oil collected at our sites each year is equivalent to about 18,000 oil changes
