Batteries

Batteries are taken to a battery sorting facility where they are sorted into different types depending on the materials they have inside them. They are packaged up and taken to specialist reprocessing plants where they are dismantled using several different techniques. This allows the recyclers to extract materials like metal and plastic.

Don't bin them. Batteries are the biggest cause of fires in the waste industry. They should always be recycled separately.
