Buckinghamshire Waste Busters

Buckinghamshire Waste Busters is a Buckinghamshire Council project in partnership with Garden Organic. The project will recruit volunteers within the community, who can attend local events to motivate, encourage and inform residents on composting and waste prevention actions.

The programme is an adaptation of the already successful Master Composters, but Buckinghamshire Waste Busters will focus on all things waste prevention.

The volunteers will be based around the County and will be provided with a suite of branded leaflets and resources to promote the key aspects of the Waste hierarchy: Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Compost, Recycle. The volunteers will be trained in having meaningful conversations with Buckinghamshire Residents and preventing waste at home.

Buckinghamshire Council has a number of waste prevention projects and activities which this project can help support and promote. The Waste Prevention Team at Buckinghamshire Council will monitor the project and associate KPIs with it, such as events attended and volunteer hours at events.

If you'd like to volunteer, or know more about the project then please get in touch with the team.
